ANDI withdraws support for rEvo? Posted to the ISC facebook group.

Matt is correct that the instructors are the ones who will suffer most. I don't know many (or any) people who choose an agency for their training and then select an instructor. I think most folks choose an instructor by reputation, recommendation, prior association, location or cost. If that leads them to an ANDI instructor who can not teach the rEvo, then they either choose someone else or the instructor should cross over to another agency for the rEvo.

iPhone. iTypo. iApologize.

Not that I care, but you could choose not to post ;-)

I'd guess that it's a pain the ass for those instructors who paid good money to ANDI to get an Instructor Cert for the rEvo only to be told it's no longer valid. Scuba Instuctor's have a hard enough time as it is without such issues thwarting their income.

So I guess it's the instructors who care. I only have a passing interest - as a forum user. I like Paul and rEvo (but do not have one), I have only a basic knowledge of ANDI - American outfit AFAICS.

Matt.

Just wondering, how much (if anything) would it cost to convert from ANDI to IANTD, PSAI, TDI whatever as a fully qualified rEvo instructor. ...?

Ok , thats the part i did not think of.
The other ANDI / Revo instructors are left behind in this.

If they agre whit the policy of ANDI they should follow ANDI , if not ..... they are now forced into this situation ..

I wonder if you are an ex-rEvo-ANDI instructor who's spent a fortune to get trained is there any recourse to sue ANDI for dropping the product and training you have invested in?

I agree with Kwinter, I have never known anyone specifically want/look for an agency (except GUE religious nutjobs :-), people choose the Unit, then find the best/local instructor and settle for whatever agency, since none of the agencies or certifications have any legal basis or requirement its irrelevant what colour the cert card is.
People only care about quality instruction- preferably from someone who dives the unit recreationaly and doesn't just drag it out of the cupboard for training!
