    Decompression on Explorer

    well: after all, there are only 1 or 2 valid responses on my original question... I think people who don't own or even dived an Explorer should just read and learn. And if they have an intelligent question or remark , then post here. Thank you.

    Decompression on Explorer

    Thanks DIN, this was a very clear answer to my question. Too bad he doesn't show TTS, would be important to know with remaining gas. Anyway I perfectly understood that the unit is not designed for such dives. But if I want to push it over the limits I would take separate computer...

    Decompression on Explorer

    What happens if a decompression occurs? OK I know it's recreational unit and the dive should be done in NDL but what happens if deco comes?An annoying alarm with vibrating like Poseidon MK6? Or just a quick warning? Any chance to download the manual? Thanks.

    Hollis Explorer vs Poseidon MK6

    I did 2 try dives in january on the Explorer. I enjoyed the unit very much. Also I rent from time to time the MK6, will do so in 2 weeks, so I can say that both units are great in recreational dives. MK6 for sure longer NDL, but handling from the Explorer is really easy. And honestly I find the...

    Ouroboros support

    As VR retired the support for "Boris", I wonder what would be the solution if a major electronic issue occurs? Any ideas? So far Kevin Juergensen offers support to hammerize the unit. Other people would like to Shearwaterize, but unfortunately Shearwater controllers are not available, maybe...

    Test Dive Hollis Explorer in Germany

    On test dive 20M. Anyway Dinspiration's answer should give you 100% satisfaction. I would also not do more than 2 dives with one schrubber, especially in cold lakes... And that's already a good performance for a small schrubber like this. I'm getting more and more interested in this unit.

    Test Dive Hollis Explorer in Germany

    I did 2 test dives on the explorer last wednesday. One in drysuit and one in wetsuit. I was impressed how easy to set up, how light and how good the unit is to breathe. And in all positions very good to breathe. It actually breathe like an CCR, it's no comparission to Dolphin SCR. Of course as...

    Triton = C96?

    Some time ago I had a similar idea, mounting a Dolphin SCR with 3L Carbon Tank at front for shalow dives, just like LAR but with nitrox 60-80%. I will test the Triton in the next weeks or months and keep updates in this forum. The concept is great, some test datas about scrubber performance...
