X1 discontinued?

"Big" News?

Hmm, lots of talk about them online but only saw one in the wild and it broke, probably not a fair representation but the general consensus was a bit average I felt.

It's a beautiful computer. I have two but Liquidvision gave up on it for more marketable recreational computers. Sad story, really.

I only ever saw one as well. Cost seemed ridiculous for what it was. If it had been half the price it may have sparked my interest, as it was I was just left thinking "yeah, and?" after seeing it close up. My ex-wife did more for a grand plus I'd get breakfast thrown in.

I guess after they abandoned the X-Link, it was just another cell-free trimix computer. When they re-tooled for the Xeon, which suits the same diving but in the same style housing as their recreational computers, why would they maintain two sets of hardware that do the same thing?

I've only seen one bear in my life too so i can't see what the fuss is about, there can't be that many can they?:dj:
The damn thing was a flop, sent earlier down the history pipe by their customer service but it was the only attempt to create a dive computer thinking out of the box. It deserves some credit at least for that.

I had one, excellent dive computer, customer service I experienced was 1st rate... only sold it as X-Link not supported on 2.7 Meg upgrade.....hello SW
