Hi Folks

In Nov 14 of us headed out to dive Truk Lagoon, 2 of the group had been before but for the rest of us it was all new. Having been planning it for nearly 2 years my stress levels were it would be safe to say pretty high in hoping that i was going to get everyone everywhere on time and with all their luggage! It all went very well though and the diving was everything I had hoped and wished for on steroids!! So good, I've booked to take a group back in Nov 2014, Truk Lagoon 2014.

Most of us were on rebreathers at all sorts of levels but there is diving to suit everyone, anyhow pictures below, hope you enjoy.

Hi Elmi

The water was 30 degrees top to bottom, I wore a 5mm and a hood [for protection more than anything] some folk wore a 3mm. I feel the cold so was happy with my choice, I never felt hot but did not get cold either, dives were between 90-180 mins. That was in November this year but you are pretty close to the equator so I'd guess that it was fairly constant year round.

Thank to everyone for the positive feedback about the pics and cheers Simon for adding to it.

Great shots Kieran and Simon. Looking forward to hosting you again in 2014.

My new O2 Gen plant will be well underway by that time!!! So Plenty O2 for everyone!!!

Pete,

Any chance you can get a He one too to make the deeper dives more affordable (and rememberable) for the OC dudes ;)

Regards

Pete,

Are you installing this O2 generator at Blue Lagoon? Looks very nice and shinny!

Does this mean that we'll actually be able to get 100% O2 in Truk now?

Regards,
Randy

Great pictures, heading to Truk in two weeks myself for ten days of diving. Will be my first trip away with the rebrather, really looking forward to it.

Just back from away and noticed this has come alive again.

The depths are 6 - 60m take your pick. the deepest I did was 60 but it is a bit like Norway in that I think one wants to be happy doing 40-45m and a bit of deco and you will have a fantastic time if you can do more then there is more that is not to say there is not good 30m diving for the single cylinders divers there it.

Truk really was everything I'd imagined and more on steroids! off again in Nov 2014 if anyone fancies it, drop me a line at info@divingindepth.co.uk for more info.

Yep that is right re the O2 gen plant, Pete is installing that so there will be limitless 95%+ which is perfectly workable (it will be like a real holiday for my solinoid next time!).

@ Gareth, just back from a GUE Tech 2 week in Norway, you would not want to try that in Truk... Ouch!

Thanks Josh, a work in progress, I like to think of it as a warm up for next time!

Cheers folks.
