Sidewinder bailout planning

Hi folks
How would you think the bailout schema for a 50 tô 60 metres dive with a sidewinder should be?
One Tx S80 doubling as BO/dil and one s40 for EAN 50 and other for O2?
Or adding a Tx S40 for dil on the above setup leaving the S80 as deep BO?

Regards

Very sketchy to rely on one cylinder for dil and bailout. you have one failure on that first stage and you're SOL. This is a mistake that many SM ccr divers are making. We would never rely on just one first stage to do a 60m dive on OC, why would you on a CCR?

That's a very válid point!
So a "h" valve would be an option? Or sticking with two bottles?
By the way, i am planning a sidewinder trimix discussion and so with my instructor.
My MOD2 was made before buying a SM CCR, and i haven't had the opportunity to discuss it with him yet, but i would like to have some background

I am not a huge fan of the "H" valve, still puts all of your hopes into one cylinder. Will this be for deep open water diving, or cave diving? If for deep open water diving, make your life easy and dive a backmount unit. Sidemount CCRs work best in the environment they were designed for, sidemount caves.

I do agree with that! For sure backmount will be my mainstream for deep OW!
SM would be a second option for me in that enviroment

One tank for dil is fine for me ... after all, you have a level of redundancy in the CCR. You have to break the CCR and lose DIL to be in the shit, i.e., two failures. This one if for Jon, I don't follow your logic in having for DIL ... do you have same level of redundancy in O2 on your CCR?

As for bailout for 25min BT - I'd just carry bottom gas and 50% ... and get a new buddy on ccr so you can do 1h+ BTs

the issue is with the sidewinder (and most sidemount cccrs) you do not have onboard dil, so your bottom bailout is your dil. If you are only carrying one of those, you lose your dil you also lose your bottom bailout and don’t have any options besides bailing out to a deco gas at depth. Not ideal.

i do not dive with redundant O2 on most dives (unless it’s an open water tech dive, then I generally have offboard O2 on me for deco bailout), but if I lose my O2 at depth I can bail out or run SCR.

For mix dives on the sidewinder I have kept 2 primary sidemount BOs left and right. I want 2 sources of dil and wing gas.
Then I add an 80 of 50% underneath on the left side like an OC stage
40 of O2 gets nose clipped to my butt

In event I have to bailout, once I am done with the 9m stop on 50% I switch to the deep BO for a gas break while rotating the 50% and O2 bottles. For 25mins @ 60m I would skip the O2
