Pimp my JJ

Good post Ramo. I still think however that all this isn't worth the effort as it does little to improve warm-water trim while at the same time introduces risk, e.g. hardware vulnerability and shutdown issues.

Ive tried various configurations for my JJ and keep returning to the vanilla setup. It's more or less perfect out of the box.

You're probably right. Most of the photos were me just messing around when I was in the shop and had access to a load of regs.

Your insight into my warm water trim is noted :) and in return I offer that I am still limber enough to be able to shut them down in that config.:flip:

Seriously though even in the normal config, I prefer the port config and hence hose, HP and OPV layout from Mk11s, which is what you use

Anyone ever manage to get cooper hoses installed on the JJ? Yes I know there is potential for an issue with the hose collapsing/etc from the wire poking out.

Reason, I'm asking is I am doing some fairly long trigger times on the scooter 2-3 hrs straight and the stock hoses just don't have enough flexibility in them for me to be able to turn my head easily when scootering.

Figured I'd try the coopers if they were able to be installed in the fittings. I know I can on my shrimp but I'm not sure about the hose fittings for the t-pieces. I think they may be to small of diameter.

Well instead of buying coopers, I just lengthened the hoses a few notches with my spares. Seems to give me more flexibility and it helps compensate the additional weight of the shrimp.

If anyone has attached them though, I'd love to know how. I believe they are larger dia then the t-piece connections, might be wrong though.

Steve,
I just machined some new connectors to T-pieces and Dsv.
At the Moment i'm Wartung for the hoses.
As long als it's finished and testend i'll send some picturesof the JJ-cooper Loop.

Jo

Has anyone added/welded anything to the JJ frame stand?

Was thinking of adding a cross piece to prevent the BO bottle from riding up too high and allow me to add a place to clip a couple of spools/reals. The stainless steel rod is too thick for most of my bolt snaps on my bottles
