Hello,
I just completed my Optima training after several years of thinking about going over to a rebreather. My buddy has had an Optima for 3 years now and after Dive Rite switched over to the Petral controller I was sold and just needed to find the right time to get one and the right instructor. That time came sooner than I thought and ended up exceeding my expectations. I'll post to the Course Reports forum in a bit about my experience.
I have been an UW Photographer for a number of years and did a number of "tech" dives in the late 80's and as the saying goes...If I knew then what I know now..... I plan on taking it very slow, getting lots of hours on my unit and diving with my friend as a team before taking my camera with me. Most of my diving will be in Northern and Central California. In due time, I hope to get back to a very special place just off Big Sur that I dove a long time ago with double 72' and no isolator valve - Schmeider Bank
