NERD won’t turn on !

As the title says: NERD won’t turn on even with a new battery that shows 3.58 V on my Predator.
Of course, next expedition starts just a few days from today.
any idea, quick fix, test?
 
Was it working with the previous battery? Does it work if you put that dying battery back in?
Did you try an alternative alkaline battery? I would guess that either the battery is not making contact or the switch is bad.

Lastly have you emailed Bruce at shearwater?
 
Return form to send it backd for checking. I***8217;ll let you know, but I have no doubt they***8217;ll provide good service as usual.
 
I got a NERD back. Not mine, but a brand new one replaced under waranty. Unit flooded, replaced under waranty. That***8217;s what***8217;s written on the return form. I don***8217;t know why or how it could happen. I did not notice anything after the last dive, never opened the unit, not even for battery change.
Shearwater service up to the best standards as usual. Thanks Shearwater team.
 
Did you put the battery in the right direction ? Sorry for the stupid question but it happend to me once with a backup light :(
