My DCS Hit

Thank you Simon for your patience. I would be staggered if any one has read this discussion and come away with any doubt that Ross is a hypocrite, a liar and a clown. He has now written so many statements which expose his ignorance as to struggle to back peddle fast enough. Bluster, denial and noise follows. Having seen a window into Ross's attitude to published science I am now concerned about using his software at all.
Calling him on his bullshit is worthwhile and I thank you and others for their time.

I may have missed it in the neverending argument, but I'm actually more interested in Don's experience. If you don't mind sharing, how are you doing, Don? What treatments have you gone through and how are you responding?

Jim
It is just 2 weeks away from being 6 months since my hit. I plan to resume diving next weekend in a slow and progressive manner. I have made some minor improvement since my 3 month report but nothing to speak of in the last month. My paralysis is 100% recovered and I have zero loss of motion or strength. My digestive system is almost there but I expect I am as good as I ever will be. Everything works, it just takes a little longer in the bathroom than my previous speedy trips used to.

I just returned home from getting checked for a PFO. I do not think it was very probable, but I wanted to know for my own peace of mind before i resumed diving again. The cardiologist gave me a clean bill of health. Big thanks to one of our own, Doug Ebersole, for doing the testing.

I go in for my complete annual physical this Friday to get everything else checked out. I feel pretty much back to normal and anxious to get underwater again.

Thank you Don for your update! We all wish you the best with your future diving and especially with your health! Thanks again for sharing your story with us. It has lead to some lively debate, but I truly believe the community has gained further insight into the complicated topic of decompression. All the best to you!

OK, I think this thread has exhausted itself at this point. I am going to close it so that we can all move on to more specific and focused topics in other threads. A huge thank you to all who have participated. At the end of the day, I truly believe that we as a community have benefited from the lively discussion and hopefully everyone has taken the time to read carefully the responses and are more fully able to make educated decisions about their personal decompression choices. Many thanks to those who have professionally and tediously attempted to educate the masses. The time spent has been well worth the effort and is much appreciated. And lastly, a huge thank you to Don Six who selflessly posted his story so that the community could hopefully learn from it.
