A new MultiDeco and V-Planner is ready now:

  • Max time planning - get a plan based on available gas supply, including bailout.
  • Gas density values - per Simon Mitchell request.
  • Improved supersaturation graphs
  • Advanced - build your own ZHL model - set A/B and cell times to experiment.

NOTE : PC ready now... Mac this week. iOS and Android soon after.

Thanks for the support. Waiting for the Mac option.
Quick question to Rossh. I am running version 4.12 on a Mac and noticed that the "off gasing starts at" is missing. Is this function removed?

It should be there. If its a multilevel plan its not shown.

Are you and the good doctor chums now? :D
If they can come up with a real new model, then I will add that too. ;)

There is no inbuilt warning or yellow area on the density yet. Still looking for some guidance on this, and i would like you guys to figure it out.

Some of the WOB testing stuff he talks of in the video, went off the rails at 6. But plenty of good dives have been done at 8. Obviously the 10 that Shaw (4/80 at 260m) and that other guy (12) had was too much... It seems to be a fine line here.

Ross,
With regards the gas density option is there the facility to set the actual WOB for the unit dived?
As I note the original paper makes a large assumption that rebreather WOB is actually optimised by all manufacturers. Assuming that 2.75J/L @ 40m/Air/75lpm or the minimum for CE is considered optimised by the author. The ability to drop this WOB default to 1.44J/L (or as low as a particular rebreathers WOB is) ought to have considerable benefit. And allow better pre-dive planning.

It also allows the opposite when you do not know your units WOB or it is higher that the probable default assumed.

Hi Ross,

Just wanted to say thanks for the latest version of MultiDeco. The maximum time plan is a very good feature.

Cheers

hi Ross... great to see this function in MD. On my trip in Norway a few of us were testing TruDive and the TTS information based on the amount of bail gas we had for that dive. Basically we looked at the TTS at our planned depth and the TTS at +/- 10m. We took the lowest TTS in these bail plans. We used it as a max turn point time for that dive. This made the depth and time planning a little more flexible. I have to wait for the MAC version of the MultiDeco but is something like this now in MD?

Stuart Acklam.

Is this version 3.99 ???
If not then my version will not upgrade, it says that 3.99 is the latest version ??

regards Baz

Hi, Its v3.99 for V-Planner PC, v4.13 for MultiDeco PC. The Mac varieties are a day or two to go still.
