Molex Connector Sizing

Running through pre-dives this morning one of my cells is responding REALLY slowly. So, instead of just happily accepting that it eventually got to the right place I went to troubleshoot it like an idiot.

What I found was that one of the molex crimps was cracked along the first turn of the little curlicue and as soon as I looked at it funny it just broke and fell off.

So now I'm determined to add to my aggregation of oddities that is a save-a-dive kit a soldering iron and a molex crimper. The question is: what model crimper and what molex terminations? What's the size and where do you get them?

I get my molex from Narked @90, excellent quality. Crimping tool from Amazon, PA-09 seems to be the best (about $40 if memory serves...). I have always found that soldered molex are a problem, and Molex themselves say to never solder/only crimp, since I started crimping only, no problems :-)

Is the other end of the wire hard soldered to the head or is it on a connector? If it is easy to access it might be easier to carry an entire spare wiring harness so you are not having to solder, or strip wires etc in the field.

I got both molex pins and a crimping took from John at Narked at 90. Makes a much better job of it than used to do when trying to bodge it up without the proper tools
