Meg Failing Negative

Your oring is probably either pinched or dry.. Try wetting the dsv, or even lubricating the oring inside. You might even just open and close the dsv a few times which might fix the seal. Failing that, replace the oring inside.

Yeah, you probably had some grit or salt crystals on the inside, Google is your friend.. Save this link to your favorites ;-) http://vimeo.com/m/7037527

My bad, dsv's that i am used to have an oring on the barrel inside. Yours it seems doesn't

There is an o-ring under the screw head that secures the lever onto the barrel.

You might want to obtain a spare in case it's damaged, before you fully service the DSV.

Tribolube seems to be allow far smoother operation and doesn't clog like christolube.

I was taught how to disassemble, clean, lube then re-assemble the DSV as part of the Meg MOD1 course.

The only way the lever screw O'Ring would ever leak is if the screw had come loose and I don't think that is the issue here. I have seen may DSVs with the O'Ring omitted and they still seal fine so long as the screw is tight. Don't forget to add a drop of blue Loctite to keep it that way.

Is there a link to a servicing video for the mouthpiece part of the bov? If not I'm assuming it's similar to the dsv.

Same as the dsv except access to the screw is bit harder. You need a 90º angle screwdriver

Thanks Blackman, finding the right angled screwdriver that fits is proving elusive.

You can also use a cut down driver bit with an 8mm ringspanner........I did this until I located a right angled screwdriver at a local auto shop.
