Hello guys,
I´m a Diver from Germany who, for the most time, dives in the cold northern lakes and seas. I don´t even own a wet suit ;-)
Most of my diving experience is OC, and i love to dive to wrecks around Norway, England and the East sea. I´m used to TMX, multiple stages and stuff.
CCRs have ever been my dream to dive with, but being the only one with that dream in my group, it was never an option.
As Poseidon came up with the Mark VI I bought a unit and did the course. But the Disco and me never really became friends. I never achieved that "rock-solid" feeling of my OC equipment. I don´t blame Poseidon for this, I still love the idea behind the ASV, and for the purpose the unit was constructed it did pretty well. It was my fault not to learn more about CCRs in advance and decide after that.
Now I had the opportunity to get in contact to see mine/cave divers, did some dives and, what should I say, hooked up.
But no course yet. Those new friends mentioned that my skills (concerning balance, stage handling etc) where pretty good and they suggested to start doing that on CCR right away.
I did a test dive on a SF-2 and really liked it. Simple, solid and most important under my control.
So, finally after digging deep in the internet to learn more, I stumbled over this site and it is a great source of knowledge to me.
Thank you guys for letting me in, really appreciate.
Chris
