DUI's Blue Heat works very well, generous amount of heat, different sections (back/torso) (gloves/booties) are controlled separately. Three power settings, controller gives you a visual on what power you are on plus the battery life remaining. Canister can also be used for power an LED lamp at the same time, caveat is that one has to make a choice, heated bootie and gloves, or the LED lamp, it can't do both along with the heated back/torso, as there are two bulkhead fittings on the canister, not three. Subconn wet disconnect at the bulkhead fitting add valve to your drysuit. Some complain that the bulkhead fitting is too bulky, I never have had a problem with it with over one hundred dives with it. Everyone complains also about the size of the battery/canister, but when you think about it, we are asking a lot out of the battery. At full power and all heating pads on, it draws 150 watts, that is a massive amount of battery power. I mount the Blue Heat battery on my O2 bottle with a separate bracket, and I never notice it there, period. If I was squeezing thru a tight restriction in a cave, I could see it giving me a slightly larger profile, but I never do it, so a mute point. I have been testing this system over a two year period in mine diving with a constant 42 degree Fahrenheit water temp, in very deep diving with long decompression obligations. I am NEVER cold, even with three hour TRT. Never a meltdown or any failure or any connector whatsoever. I have had two left hand gloves fail for some weird reason, but DUI was always on the spot and sending a replacement right away.
