Wanted G-Snaps (male part)

Ok, I've read about them for years but I still have no idea what G-snaps are and how they are different from Shadow Mounts, Tiger Mounts, or Metalsub mounts. Can anyone enlighten me with a photo or site?
 
Just to satisfy your curiosity here are a couple of pics.
They are not so different from the others it was just that they where available years prior to the above mentioned
and have been discontinued a few years ago. Their only drawback was a poor locking set up.
