First 6 months of operation for HammerHead CCR and SubGravity - Wow!

Dave, Shearwater makes a fine set of electronics, there is no doubt about it. The Juergensen Marine Electronics package however is fundamental to the design philosophy of the HammerHead CCR. The multiple redundancies, flexibility of configuration and especially the DIVA (vibrating HUD) make the Juergensen Marine Electronics package a critical part of our unit.

Just had my unit returned after repair at SubGravity.
This was a very good experience, the process went smoothly with good information and quick replies, cost as estimated.

Because of many new units in the pipe the turnaround time for repair was a bit longer than expected but this I can live with.

Thanks and keep it up

Good to hear. Delays are part of life. Good, honest communication is all it takes to keep things from becoming too frustrating.

Hi Randy
Congratulation for these six months and I wish you the best.
I just have a question about the FLEX.
I know it is a Jakub-Golem product but do you sell-support it if it comes with HH electronics?
Thanks

Hi Jale, The Flex is available with Juergensen Marine electronics. (We don't refer to the electronics as HammerHead electronics anymore, as we want to differentiate between the HammerHead CCR and other units which might use Juergensen Marine electronics such as the Flex)

SubGravity only manufactures, sells and supports the HammerHead CCR. Dive Addicts however does sell and teach the Flex if you are interested in it. Feel free to PM me for more information.

Kind regards,
Randy

Hi Randy
Thanks for your answer but I don't know if it is me but I don't get the differences between all the HH labeled machines.
So a HH ccr is in fact a two parts machine: a head-body-loop-dsv-CL on one part and an electronic package on the other side.
This electronic package is still a JM unit or not? Or when does it start not to be a JM unit anymore? Is it a matter of production date?
I am really a bit confused and sorry if my question has been answered already.
Jale

Hi Jale,

Sorry for the confusion. Beginning in January 1, 2014, SubGravity took over the manufacture, sales, distribution, marketing and training oversight of the HammerHead CCR. A HammerHead CCR is a complete unit which incorporates Juergensen Marine electronics. Other units that use Juergensen Marine electronics such as the Flex, Optima, Megs with JM electronics, Inspos with JM electronics etc. etc. have nothing to do with HammerHead CCR and are not supported by SubGravity. These other units are supported by Juergensen Marine.

Hope that helps.

Kind regards,
Randy

Hi Randy
Thanks for the explanation:)
Jale

I would also point out that the Flex is not a Juergensen Marine product, but it is a Golem product. JM electronics is just one of the options available on the Flex.

Jim, maybe you should rephrase your question to ensure you find out the real answer of who is on second...
