That is an interesting point you make.

It probably is until someone comes up with an alternative option like RC did which is why I got involved in this thread.

I would have never gotten involved in the thread otherwise.

Did you understand what RC and I have been discussing and why?

eCCR and mCCR are primitive.

Very true, and I would dive neither as they come off the shelf.

Where does that leave us?

My elegant solution is homebuilding, which does not improve the "architecture" much at all.

RC if he can one day deliver "constant pPO2" without electronics and O2 Cell changes the architecture entirely.

Personally, I do not think he can achieve "constant pPO2" - but I think he can get close to it, which without electronics and O2 Cells would be a leap forward over any other Patent or crazy idea (or quasi-scam).

RC solution de-complicates rebreather diving, while everybody including myself has been going in the direction of complicating it (I have de-complicated the electronics though).

I opened the box and took mine diving. It's all very simple, each to their own.

So did I, with high hopes and excitement, but... it did not work out.

C'mon now, do you think I am the only one who had problems with sensors, electronics, software, wiring, batteries, battery contacts...

I got fed-up with all the problems cropping up in out-of-the-box rebreathers... so I fixed it my way (chop chop chop) and increased reliability to have a rebreather which does not let me down (can kill me, but does not let me down).

If I can chop sensors and electronics as well, as RC Patent promises, while delivering constant pPO2, that is a major step forward.

If he is just smoke and mirrors... well he is, but allow me to get excited when something good comes at the horizon.
 
Not sure it's relevant, but: Mine - pronoun "my", verb "dig", noun "pit".

This thread has definitely run its course.

Next you'll be going back to post 277 to poke fun at a superfluous apostrophe.
