Bail out cylinders are people using.

Bringing this thread back to life to see if people are still working with the same tanks. I'm interested in trying out some steel LP50's for bottom mix to be carried throughout the whole dive. I've also been thinking of trying some side mount diving too which makes me wonder if LP85's should be my choice for strictly open circuit side mount or possibly CC bailout.

The LP 50's make a lot of sense in my head and will give them a try from a local dive buddy who is willing to let me borrow them***8230;

Any thoughts?

Steel tanks are heavy when you already have the weight of a RB to deal with. Maybe my steel 120's were just too big though

12l 250bar Faber are the same great for SM for OC or CCR bailout.

Right now I carry 2xALU80 with 16/45 and 50%

7L Ali (232bar WP) one with 60% the other with AIR & a 7L Steel Faber with 16/45 trimix, same bouyancy as the Ali's as long as it's a reasonably high percentage of helium. Sold my Ali 80's as I hardly ever used them....
 
I've almost always used 7Litre ali 232bar tanks.

They are negative with most nitrox mixes but some of the helium mixes make them neutral or slightly buoyant.

Not too heavy or bulky on the boat or land.
