Anyone bought something new and want to show us all about it?

I use one of these :

Replacing the standard supplied quick connectors and air hose to diam 10mm diam and better quality quick connectors reduced the pressure losses.
I also place the booster just in front of the compressor ventilation holes otherwise it sometimes 'froze' due to the gas expansion of the drive air.

cheers,
what compressor are you using?
I have a 10bar oil free and it's struggling to drive the booster properly
Adjustable harnas

I have installed the Agir Harpa loop, my harness was loose diving a wet suit 3mm in egypte last 2 weeks. And at home for the dry suit it is fine.
So i wanted a good solution and not cutting the webbing in half.

It is installed under 2 minutes ... i had to replace the webbing so it took me a bit more time.

You can buy "left"side kit , just to get easy in and out.
And you can buy the "left"and "right" then you got a adjustable harness.

It is amazing simple, and it works...:banana1::banana1:

Ok, so I have had the chance to test dive this enough to form an opinion.

First off, the bayonet fittings are inspired, being able to simply detach the BOV when I throw the RB over my shoulder to carry it to the car is a luxury, my initial issue with it sitting lopsided, leaning left, was due to user error rather than an issue with the design, an improvement in the hose routing has sorted that out and it now sits straight in my mouth, weight wise it is not an issue either on land or in water, I do find if looking over my left shoulder it is useful to hold it slightly but this, again, I feel is down the the hose.

Switching could not be simpler, the mechanism is smooth and effortless, it is a one handed job and switched without twisting the unit in your mouth. On Saturday, using air dil, i switched at 30M for a test breath and found it little different to breathing off my Apeks regs, clean, dry and easy.

I have found I get a little more condensate in the tubes than I did using the original mouthpiece, I put this down to my breath coming into contact with the metal parts inside the BOV, this is not an issue just a small noticeable difference.

Was it worth the money, oh yes, if for nothing else than peace of mind, I have often wondered about bailing out in a stress situation, there are many steps and many of them could turn ugly, now I can switch to OC, get my bearings, prep the bailout without rushing and get off the loop in a calm and relaxed fashion, that, for me, is worth every penny I spent....

I just set up my N@90 travel frame and did a test dive.

The test dive was done to a whopping depth of 6m, in a 5mm wetsuit as I am taking it to Indoesia next week and that is what I will be using. Weight was perfect at 7lb, 6 in pouches at the top of the cylinder, + 1lp in a belt, which I will find a better place for. It trimmed very well, heavy Hollis fins were kept off the bottom nicely. The unit is nice and small and compact.

Down sides, scrubber is very exposed, I am toying with a neoprene/kevelar scrubber sock, something light that will soften and spread any impacts that may occur.

Also I would love to clear the chest up, move to backmounted lungs. I heard AP may have designed some, any news?

Tonight if i get the chance I will test it in a drysuit.

I think if I got backmounted lungs and a better BOV I'd be pretty content to stop fiddling and just dive.

OThree Ri100 drysuit

Picked up my new Ri100 last weekend and put a few dives on it out of Portland. I am delighted. 1mm compressed neoprene, front loader, superb construction and excellent 'new balance' rock boots. Fantastic service from Josh at OThree.

Picked up a 1 year old rEvo III with RMS with the titanium upgrade and cooper hoses. Starting MOD 1 in 2 weeks.
Can't wait :), no more filling twin 12's and ali 80's for a single dive.

I recently got myself a 3-in-1 lathe and have been playing with it. Fortunately it came with tons of tooling and seems to have everything that I need for the moment. The steady rest would only open up to 3" and I want to turn 6', 8', and 10' pipe in it so I made my own steady rest.

I will be building my first bailout rebreather as my funds allow it. Delrin is some expensive stuff.

When I finally grow up, I will have a real lathe and milling machine to play with. Not to mention the a shear, brake, laser cutter etc. etc.

I nearly went for that one. Josh talked me out of it LOL. I ended up with the 2100 back loader. He persuaded me it would give more flexibility on valve drills etc. I put a dive on it today and was really toasty at last!

Glad you like the suit!

Get my Pathfinder (No.48) last week, cool, smart, nice to dive, top quality, nothing more to say. pics follow.

Got my Pathfinder earlier this year (unit 11) dives sweet and it just gets better. ISC have created a top quality bit of kit.

Bought a gopro3 black last week, lookimg forward to putting it to use..

Sendt fra min GT-P5100 med Tapatalk 4

I recieved a rEvo style triple gas block from Tony at Add Helium last week. Installed it on mY Evo+ with the AP BMCL

Dove it on a dive on the USS Hopewell off of San Clemente in So Cal to 370'

Loved it during the scooter down, only needed one hand. And during DECO it worked flawlessly..

Agreed, the Ri 2-100 is an excellent suit, which I also have along with a 5mm MSF. The Ri 1-100 just completed the set for me! It was interesting to note that the new Fourth Element 3D undersuit seems to work well with the Ri's...

I got one as well, the price was very attractive. Only downside is no markings, I may need to get some decals or something for it.

yup, but decals are cheaper than 100$ difference. OTOH, if this was on my primary unit, I'd probably stick with the original. This one goes on my BoB, and since this is kind of an experiment, I'm dollar conscious. :)
