It might be worth chiming in that not all industrial oxygen is equal. I have one gas supplier on island that sells "pure" industrial oxygen that analyzes to 94%, consistently. About the availability problem, what are other shops doing? Quietly switching to industrial and hoping nobody notices?

What's different about filling them? I thought the weirdo M26-DIN-O2 replacement hadn't made its way into rebreather valves yet.

Ditto. Absolutely love mine, and haven't had any problems with it (that weren't my fault, like wrong settings) in the 6 years I've had it. To buy one now, though, it'd have to be significantly less than a used petrel, which are going stupid cheap compared to what an X11 cost in 2010.
