    Arduino ppO² display

Found the thread. Look towards the end. Sorry for the xpost. http://www.rebreatherworld.com/showthread.php?29238-DIY-temp-stick. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Arduino ppO² display

Interesting. I'd be interested to see how you're coding the ADC readings. I started to build a cell checker last summer, and couldn't get accurate readings from all 3 sensors simultaneously. For a waterproof housing, check out the Hammond enclosures. There's a fellow over on RBW that built a...

Salvage of the WWII wrecks in the Java Sea

I think that has to do with the language of the law that protects those wrecks. The US has similar, with the Sunken Military Craft Act, which raises interesting questions about Merchant Marines and other non-military craft that were sunk in the service of their country. Coast Guard? NOAA? NASA...

    Industrial O2 to medical grade O2 ???

It might be worth chiming in that not all industrial oxygen is equal. I have one gas supplier on island that sells "pure" industrial oxygen that analyzes to 94%, consistently. About the availability problem, what are other shops doing? Quietly switching to industrial and hoping nobody notices?

    European 3L tanks....in North America

What's different about filling them? I thought the weirdo M26-DIN-O2 replacement hadn't made its way into rebreather valves yet.

Cell 3 Error, water on cell face

Update: I can fit 3 on 1, 1 on 2, and 2 on 3. Definitely gonna have to write that one down and tape it to the handset... Jim

Cell 3 Error, water on cell face

That's the next step. I'm not sure if the cable from #2 will stretch that far, though. Might end up cobbling together a patch cable from an old cell and a spare connector.

Cell 3 Error, water on cell face

To drag this thread back into a slow death, I dove the unit again this weekend for the first time since the last post. Babies seem to do that to you (not to mention the new job and overseas move). Had the same problem. 83 degree water, cell 3 error on ascent (couldn't keep up) on both dives that...

    European 3L tanks....in North America

I ran into the same problem when I bought my used unit. After lots of searching, my final conclusion was that while it it not technically illegal to fill a CE tank in the US (that technicality only applies to tanks used for commercial purposes or transported across state lines or something...

    Narked 4 cell kit

I think it depends upon which cable you got with it. I'm sure someone with more knowledge will correct me if I'm wrong, but my understanding is: If you got the 1-cell cable, you can monitor the 4th cell (if added), or a different single cell with a splitter. If you got the 3-cell cable, you can...

    Stage

I'm like jturner. I supply my suit from my stage. I dive an Inspo, which uses standard bc nipples on the MAVs anyways, so all of my stages have a whip. Theoretically, if I have to give away that stage, I'll be getting my buddy's empty, which will probably still have enough in it for my suit. If...

Time to recover SAC after CO2 hit

Just curious, but how many hours does that give you?

    X-CCRs spotted in the wild!

I thought NPS dove Inspo. Wonder if they're jumping ship.

    Views on Liquivision X1

Ditto. Absolutely love mine, and haven't had any problems with it (that weren't my fault, like wrong settings) in the 6 years I've had it. To buy one now, though, it'd have to be significantly less than a used petrel, which are going stupid cheap compared to what an X11 cost in 2010.

New (re)breath of life for AP Classic

I realize he's talking about a classic, but if it's going to cost the se amount or double to send the vision back to AP to get the handset/controller replaced, then another $600 for the battery box, and STILL have a green backlit LCD....it'd be a tough sell. I would almost be more inclined to...

New (re)breath of life for AP Classic

I'm glad to hear you're getting that kind of customer service with the av1. Hearing that kind of success makes me wonder what I'll do if/when the controller or display on my vision dies. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Cell 3 Error, water on cell face

Thanks. Actually I was rolling around a lot on those dives, as I get through hatches with less banging about when I go sideways. C'mon, let me hope and dream that it's an easy fix I can do myself...:uhh: Problem didn't move. Is there any way to test the wiring? Connector doesn't look...

BP & Wing on a Classic

Deep sea supply also sells a kit to strengthen the holes in the plastic with metal brackets that supposedly stops roll and reduces cracking. I've got it on my evo, and like it if for no other reason that it captures the bolts so they don't fall out when changing backplates or removing the...

Cell 3 Error, water on cell face

Thanks. That would be a super easy fix if indeed it is the screw, and it just needs to be swapped out for a flat one. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
