    My DCS Hit

I think this is a red herring - after all Po2 has nothing to do with decompression stress rather what is important is partial pressure of inert gas. Try running the ppN2+He at set points of PO2 of 1.0 vs 1.2 and you will see the effect is minimal. @10b its 2% more inert gas and @20bar/600ft...

    NERD2 early impressions

Then you must have perfect buoyancy control or not dive where there are any waves / tide / current. I can easily maintain same o2 usage if I swim at same pace and climb up a line on ascent - but its meaningless for real world situations

    NERD2 early impressions

Since 1999. Try doing some dives that require you actually stretching your ccr and you might see what I mean. If I was doing 90-120min then I wouldn't bother either. Try 6h+ and blue water ascents not hanging on a line - you might find your gas usage has a few more variables than you thoughts.

    My DCS Hit

Bent in water clearly demonstrates that the deep deco was incorrect - it can't possibly be the result of shallow deco which you haven't done/reached. Having seen a few incidences of in water decompression presenting in the 30 ish m range on 4-5h profiles I am in no particularly rush out of...

    NERD2 early impressions

That is craziness - I have lost count of number of times that I have wanted (needed) to know pressure. Of course if your dives are limited to 90min or so then maybe you might feel like you don't need to know pressure, until that is you will want to know it. I sold my nerd 1 after 1 dive as I...

Prism 2: How negative when flooded?

That assumes that the counter lungs are full - which in diving is not the case.

Handling Hypoxic Bailouts with a BOV

Careful planning and not rushing at start or end of dive and I don't worry about having hypoxic plumbed into my BOV. I pay particular attention to PO2 in shallows and try not to jump in with loop in (just like OC not jumping with hypoxic backgas). Its no different than OC diving with hypoxic...

    Eliminating the Helium Penalty

He was politely calling you out but probably should've said "There is no data to support your ideas". I suspect you should look harder ;)

    Storing part-used scrubbers

With a fill costing about the same as a pint or two ... I am left wondering why bother ... but then it is you Nick ;)

My JJ - An ongoing Evolution...

With all that complexity, if something did go wrong I would find really hard work to trouble shoot. My gue config JJ makes me a witch to most though :)

Why more trouble equalizing on a CCR?

Can't be high po2 or you'd get it after accelerated deco gas dive.

Dimensions of mk15 ? Apart from the original carry cases, what's best for transport?

When I had MK15s they fit really nicely into AP valves crate (not sure if same size as a gear gulper). Plenty of bubble wrap and never had any issues with multiple flights

    Omniswivel QD VS. Swagelok QD

They still let a bit of water in - check the swagelok materials - they give the specifics of how many cm3.

Incident Involving Drop Bottle and Deep Diving

Why post it as an incident (all over the internet) if it wasn't one? is this click bait?

You look and find the loop hypoxic....

Need to work on your ladies grip then. Its easy to stop gas flow by folding a hose.

You look and find the loop hypoxic....

This is not too smart - what if hypoxia is caused by the o2 being off (or no gas for some reason) - you busily pressing the mav as you pass out and drown

Double Fatality in June 2014 (UK) - Inquest and Media Reports

Why do they do it? I don't know. I don't trust my cells at all - I don't believe replacing them at 12mo from manufacture will protect me. I expect them to fail and monitor my rebreather accordingly. Most people don't need rebreathers and/or should not be diving them. We do it for fun and...

Double Fatality in June 2014 (UK) - Inquest and Media Reports

It is. Please re-read the thread. It is suggested we should install a "chip" to stop people using old cells. CCR training is not in its infancy its been going for at least 20 years (much further if we think about the electrolung) - we understand that its not good to use old cells. This is...
