black rot seems to effect the wiring in the loop , if its exposed to the wet , high po2 , we , were unlucky in the aspect that yes the wiring in the loop had been badly effected by black rot and needed replaced , but also the hud system had been affected as well , this might have been caused...

ok all , its been awhile and just a wee update , the entire wiring system was badly damaged with blackrot and the hud had also damage inside the board , have had too completely renew the hud system ie new electronics and wiring , the computer is fine , but the wiring from the cells to the pod...

i still use the kidney with a shearwater plugged in , ds1 died , think they all went in the end , good kit but unfortunately had a few flaws ,, hth silkyshark

i have popped in a new battery , no change , the cells are fine according to the computer and the hud reads them as good also otherwise it wouldnt pass calibration , this is my understanding ? i dont think its the cells here otherwise theyd all have to fail at the same time ? cheers silkyshark

the comp and hud run on two separate wiring paths which converge at the cells via a set of splitters , since all the leds on the hud are reading the same it stands that the splitters are fine , since it would take all three to fail at the same time , the condition of the splitters is good ...

yes its a shearwater hud and predator comp ,, something is amiss for sure , i have checked and rechecked , the gas is pure o2 , i have flooded the loop 4 times with pure o2 then calibrated both the hud and computer , both systems pass calibration as per manual, then as soon as the hud...

all 3 cells reading .8 in pure o2 , battery is good , and i have flushed o2 through the unit 4 times , i suspect a fault here somewhere but not sure where to start from , ideas on a postcard

the calibration gas is o2 , both the computer and hud are calibrated in o2 , after which the computer displays .98 and the hud flashes red twice which is an incorrect reading for pure o2 ,, cheers

HI ALL , not something i usually do in-fact never before , but i just gotta say publicly that i'm one happy camper thanks to the guys at poseidon uk! they pulled put all the stops and got me back diving again in double quick time after losing overboard an out of production force fin they...

it assumes pure o2 and senses current barometric pressure then calibrates to that ,, or at least thats how i understand it , i always check against the main display as a matter of routine . cheers! silkyshark

hi all , i have a predator and sw hud as well , when i calibrate in o2 the predator says all three cells are good and within range , however the hud fails all 3 cells ? any ideas ? cheers gordy,,
