Why so many nerds are for sale on second hand market? Surely there's more other shearwater models. Are they just "love it or hate it" type of thing?

So the Nerds are great in getting information but they are bigger then a HUD. I sometimes literally have to look around the Nerd. So I would also guess it's just a "love it or hate it" type of thing.

The only time I find myself having to look over or around mine is when I'm looking for clams, I.e. looking down and nearby.

Otherwise I find that I just look through it as I'm focussing further away. It might help that I have it on the right side and my left eye is my dominant one.

Yes I was not at all a fan of the nerd. I felt like it took away too much of my vision and it wasnt really telling me that the HUD wasnt. and any issues just look at the handset
