CCR Head in hold luggage

Hi All,

When I've travelled with my JJ I've always had the head in my hand luggage so that I know it is well looked after. But with all the restrictions on batteries and the million questions at security I'm starting to question this. I was told when I first start diving many moons ago that you always put your computers in your hand luggage so that:
  • Your computer can adjust its decompression based on your flight
  • You don't damage the depth sensor in the low pressure cargo hold
Is the 2nd one an old wives tale? I have read on here plenty of times that people put there head in the hold?

Thanks

Cargo hold is pressurized the same as the cabin as there is no separation between them. Otherwise the animals that travel in the hold would not do well

Batteries are more restricted in cargo than in carry-on. Additionally when they Xray it and remove it to see what it is, you want to be standing right there so they don't screw it up.
