Guys,

Sorry it has taken a long time.

The storage study is currently under review for Diving and Hyperbaric Medicine and I hope will be published early next year.

The extendair canister vs granular sorb study is in the final stages of being written up. Should also be published early in the new year.

Thanks for the update Simon!

I use my scrubber over a number of dives.
Diving a Poseidon MKVI/SE7EN i use the prepacked scrubber.
I keep track of my oxygen use and calculate the total CO2 load.
After the dive i take out the scrubber seal it in a airtight tupperware container and in an carton box for the next dive.
Attached you will find a remaining scrubber time sheet from my last scrubber.
I am making non decompression recreational dives most of the time.Remaining scrubber time.png

I'll store my partially used scrubber for sometimes a few weeks between dives. Some of the things that I do are:
1. Put a piece of tape on the side of the scrubber canister documenting when I filled it and how much time I have on the scrubber.
2. After the dive day, and I'm breaking down the breather to clean it, I take the scrubber canister and seal it in a dry bag.

I reuse my scrubber more than once when needed. Storage can be up to a month. If I do more short dives, then after several times of restorage the sofnolime will be more clotted than doing the same hours in one day or 2 days.
After every diving day I will clean the rebreather and put the scrubber in a bag.
