What is waiting under the tree?

Santa has my new AV1c V2.0 somewhere between Moscow and Perth, Western Australia.

Time to blow away those tired old Inspo Classic handsets.

Although I suspect I know how this will play out:
- I get things like this delivered to work, otherwise there's the whole failed-delivery-visit-the-post-office-when-they're-open runaround.
- Work closes up for a week and a half over Chrissy and New Year.
- The package will be delivered during that week and go back to the post office.
- Five days later we'll still be on holidays, no-one will know to pick it up.
- The post office will return it to Moscow.

Because Murphy. Ho, ho, ho.

:)

An almost new SF2 since Saturday.
So far the bungee wing has been replaced with a DiveRite Classic wing, the Apeks DS4s have been replaced with SP Mk17s, total of 6 3L 300bar O2 and diluent tanks, the Shearwater strap mtg plate has been drilled for bungees, and I'm still busy optimizing the hoses so they lay in a Holgarthian fashion. I may not be DIR, but I have an aversion to things sticking out that could be rigged cleaner. 2 of my stage regs now have QC4 connectors on them and I'll buy another 3 QC4 connectors with hoses for some of my other stage regs.

Thanks Santa, and my company's year end bonus.

Here in Afghanistan we don't even have a Christmas Tree, so no dive gear(actually no gifts in general) this year.Maybe next year. Merry Christmas to all of you.

Thanks Garth. My colleagues managed to find a Christmas tree and some lights in a connex box. It is fake, but i's a Christmas tree. :banana1: now we need to find some dive gear, that will be a tough one as I don't think there are any dive shops in Kabul. :help::help::help:

Congrats. They are a pretty easy build. Are you just using your existing battery compartments in the lid to power it? The AV1 even allows dual battery each wire is probably labeled making it a straight forward install. Merry Christmas.

Nup, this is the version 2 - batteries are all in the handset so the crappy old Classic battery box is getting turfed. Sadly no wiring labels and the cable is differently coloured to the previous version that had external batteries. I've sent an email off to Alexey and just have to hope he hasn't started a crazed christmas vodka party already and that he can send back a revised pinout.

I can probably work it out with dummy loads, sources and meters but with 10mV inputs, 20mA LED outputs and a 500mA solenoid output there the chance of destruction becomes significant and that WOULD make me cry.

Hi Guys,

here is my Christmas Gift.
