Swagelok SS-SS2 metering valve/pelagian valve

Capt - maybe take a look at the Parker VCD 1000 doodahs. I think they give a constant flow regardless of increases in supply pressure. The 750 is the flow you need, I think. They come in 316 too.

Stan.

Interesting valve... and principle of work ... thanks for the info...

I found my VCD1000 on ebay, it wasn't expensive.

There are some threads from years back on RBW about them but a bit sparse on longer term detail. Certainly an interesting bit of kit though I haven't used mine yet.

Hi, what flow rate did you find? I am interested in one too.... what did you pay for it? What are dimensions??

Just got the valve. Now must find some connectors - 5/16-24 male to 3/8 female and 5/16-24 male to 9/16 male.
Or some 5/16 tubing with 3/8 f connector and 9/16 m connector.

If someone has some info where to get please let me know...

Howdy, how did you get on with the VCD? I have found a fairly simple solution using a lump of 1/8 pipe onto a "SS-200-1-6ST" for my use but don't want to go into project mode quite yet.
I also notice that they are rated 250 PSI max?

Is the pressure rating any problems? You fit it on you first stage and will not get more then 7-10bars out from it, half of what it is rated for.

Only mounted temporarely the valve and made a dry test. Seem ok. Now need a MAV as I use KIS v2 valve at the moment. Ass soon as I get it water test.
