I'm heading back to the UK for a month over Christmas, and Will be diving up by Oban over New Years, but I'm hoping to he a splash or two in earlier, down South, I was wondering whether either of the above rent out inspo/JJ suitable tanks?

Also, anyone at a loose end fancy going for a dive or two sometime in the run up to Christmas?

Dave

Dave, I live 10 minutes from NDAC and dive a JJ. You are more than welcome to borrow a pair of 3s or 7s back gas and 7s or 11s stage cylinders. I'd be happy to show you around too. Contact me at tj (dot) moran (at) hotmail (dot) co (dot) uk.

Heck we could make it a CCRX ice breaker meet up / reunion, I am in the mood for another 25 minute lap of that pond at 50M..... :)

Why not join me for two hours to 75m. I have three more mooring lines to replace...

Sensible chap. There's no future in running that deco at this time of year...

We could make a party out of you doing it or I got a mad buddy that might be a bit more helpful but he's a sucker for pointless quarry bashes and long cold dives ain't you dwhitlow............ :)

You'll need more undersuits and batteries and still end up cold!

Would love to but I got a real short attention span...... ;)
yeah, might be even more fun than the last trip to NDAC :bondage:

Hey, who are you calling mad?! :nono:

Hence the 25 minute round the houses target, i just don't know how I did decent dives in Norway knowing how cold I was last week.

We need coolies, renting one or 2 of your minions for the day for hauling stuff up and down would minimise the damage and the odds of my unit tearing apart paking pallets again.....

Run time Whitlow, the madest of the mad.... What was the wind gusting to on pick ups? 55kts?

I should mention my last dive on Saturday was 30 degrees, so I should perhaps pack a vest and an extra pair if socks....

Landed now and just about got everything set up minus cylinders, picked up my suit and may even try out some dry gloves......

I'm heading over to Ireland for a few days, but good to go from the 19th if folk are around? Gives them a week to out the heating on as well!

And the thermocline is barely noticable now. I'll be breaking out the Merinos, Xerotherms and Arctic combo from now on and the FFM...

Nice work on the new lines, presume I was looking at your efforts?
The thermocline was there but not as traumatic as it can be...

10 / 11 Celsius on the surface yesterday and 6 Celsius at 50 metres. A 100 minute run time was surprisingly tolerable. Some dodgy diving going on though at the Scuba Santa's thingy as there were a couple of zero viz plumes of silt in the shallows  Three days of rest should restore the 20 odd metres we were enjoying earlier this week
