I want to get back to Bikini before it all falls apart. I was there in 2007 and after our first day there was a collapse on the Saratoga. I am sure even more of it has fallen apart since then. What an amazing dive site.

Why the change on GF 10/90 to 30/80?

'Cos we were doing 2 dives per day of upwards of 2 hours each with significant decompression more than two days away from any significant medical facilities.

Although the eminent Dr Simon Mitchell was on board with a rather fancy 'first aid kit' and there was a chamber on the boat, we didn't want to push it.

Also the water was 30c so there was no rush to get out.

We used 30/70 this year in Bikini on Pete's strong suggestion. And then extra 10 minutes padding after tables/computers were cleared. Worked well and noby had any symptoms whatsoever.

We too went 30/70 plus 10 minutes. Brian suggested that after a trip with Simon M onboard. It actually made the Shearwater and Poseidon sync up almost to the minute.

I should of said why 10/90? Never seen that used.

This was quite a popular GF setting when divers were (and some still are) attempting to make decompression based on a gas content model look like a bubble model decompression.

Thanks Simon, I am off to bikini on the 6th Sept,
I am using 25/75 GF to conservative, as the paramedic on board I think this is a good idea. Any thoughts?
