Kent Tooling off board braket

Just seen the KT off board braket for Sentinel and wondering if it's possible to fit 3L or even 4L tanks on each side for DIL & O2. This would be a superb alternative to the travel frame. I think that's important when traveling to be flexible with tanks to be found locally.
Not sure if there is enough room for the diver then...

Someone has any experience with that braket? Pictures are not available, please check out Kent Tooling website under Sentinel items.

I had actually a similar idea as a home build project, just would fit the cylinders more outside, to alow more room for the diver's back.

Cheers,

P.

I really don't see the point.

If you want to use larger cylinders when traveling, then use the travel frame...

Sentinel off board bracket

Hi Pat

It is possible to mount 3l cylinders on the bracket I do. I was a rough design the I initially beat together and John made in to the "Kent Tooling" standard.

The design was not intended as a travel frame but a means of attaching additional cylinders (suit inflate and addtional Oh Fu*k O2 bottle)

Cheers Pat

@ Jackdiver: no, I don't want the travel frame, I want BMCL and case.

@ Pat: I understood that it is designed for short cylinders & accu tanks.
It's good to hear that even 3L cylinders fit, I was afraid it would disturb on the back and especially shoulders.

Off Board Bracket

Hi Pat

I am not sure how Johns final design differs from mine but I am running a 3l suit/wing inflate and a 1.5l l O2 with no difficulty.

He had designed smaller quick release brackets so you dont have to modify the latchs to get the case to open.

The best thing to do is John a call he is most helpful and excellent to do business with

Cheers Pat

I don't see how it would work as a travel frame as you still need to fix it to something?

Anyway, I have one fitted to my travel frame. John & I fitted it upside down at. The bottom it also adds a protective shield on my first stages and better stability when standing up. I use the unit permanently in the travel frame now.
