A number of people prefer to chat with me directly over Skype instead of posting back and forth.

If a thread is closed or you want any information on anything or have some suggestions and interesting thoughts, feel free to Skype me at gianaameri .

I enjoy it and we learn a lot from each other, especially from APOC users who are too scared to join in forums, and it is still quite a mysterious unit (to me at least).

This actually works quite well both ways.

I find it is effective and efficient and a better use of my time.

This might work if its a private conversation between mates or
This might work with the hush hush DIR secret system.
The only problem with this idea of every body skypeing each other is then there is No info out there for others to then learn from.
Long live the Threads, we all can benefit from them.

The interesting threads get closed or deleted for commercial pressure or abused by people who don't like the way it is heading, and there is very few people in internet forums who have a genuine interest about learning and knowledge.

It is a way to take things forward and I discovered it works very well, to my surprise, and it is an effective way of learning and having a bit of a laugh.

People are more open one to one and there is no need for anonymity.

It is just another tool to communicate and share.

I am not suggesting it should replace forums.

...besides if the threads get closed, why not?

The interesting threads get closed because some people keep going over the same old ground, adding nothing to the discussion or continue to make snide digs at other users which is not something we find acceptable.

I'm not aware of threads being 'deleted for commercial pressure'.

That is what I really hate too.

One more reason to add to my list to use Skype as an additional tool to internet forums.

I can give two examples in which pressure was exerted on the user, once a sponsor is not served, in the second case a moderator. Do you want examples ?

As board owner and one who has been consulted on the threads which have been closed I can categorically refute your insinuations and am frankly extremely pissed off at them.

This board is not heavily moderated (we've had a few hiccups along the way) but I don't like your constant claims that you have been hard done by. I have to moderate in the interests of the community as a whole and domination of the board by one or two opinionated people who post in an aggressive manner is not in the interests of the community.

What turns into a two way conversation between you and Gian is, as Gian says, rightly taken off board. This is a forum for discussion - not a platform for broadcast where opposing views are dismissed and shouted down with snide comments and derision.

You have a point Gian - but look how often I have asked you and the other posters on this thread to desist from back an forth post - and where it has got me?

Allegations that the board has been 'muzzled' in commercial interests is so far from the truth it is laughable. What commercial interests? Seriously? Conspiracy theories abound on the internet but there is no need for them here.

So if anyone wishes to have a conversation with Gian about stuff he raises on here beyond which the board can cope with - you have his contact details.

If anyone does not like the way that we do business here - you know where the door is. I'll deal with anything else by PM.

Maybe that was the hidden sub-conscious motivational drive behind my post.

Skype is a tool we can adopt in addition to the use of internet forum.

Honest truth, I did not imagine it and did not believe it till I was through no solicitation of mine contacted over Skype by CCRX Members who wanted to continue our dialogues... but I learned so much from people who contacted me on Skype and it also turned out to be good fun with none of the stresses of internet forums.

Anarchista, you should Skype me too!

I would not normally comment on a matter of this sort but given the allegations Anachista has made I feel the need.

Anachista's allegations of improper behaviour related to deleted posts in Simon Mitchell's thread. The moderator who deleted the posts had called for help in the staff forum and took intermediate action in soft deleting - so that the posts could be reinstated. When I reviewed the thread I determined at they posts were fine and reinstated them.

Anachista also stated that the board sided with Narked at 90 against him. Infact, all moderators did at that time was read and apply T&Cs - again resulting in no action.

Anachista has however reported countless posts and asked the staff to delete posts and close threads where users have disagreed with him. Failure to act on his complaints has led to further allegations of favouritism and a suggestion, via PM, that this board is not democratic.

Threads and PMs of an aggressive or libellous nature will not be tolerated - and neither will racist comments. Most democracies would not tolerate such behaviour either.

Anachista is thus taking some time out from the forum.

He will be allowed back in a month if he wishes to contribute as I know that buried, albeit deep in his odd posting style, he is knowledgeable and worth listening to. However, arrogant posting which seeks to belittle or silence all who disagree is not our style here at CCRX and will not be tolerated.

I petition for my posts which have been deleted to be re-instated.

I also petition for clemency to be shown against Anarchista and a pardon be issued on the basis that he has language difficulties and that was it not for the Polish people fighting the Nazis in Warsaw I'd be speaking only German (no joke).
