Be glad you don't live here...

Yeah... But the iPhone senses that and rotates the photo anyhow. Dunno why the pics are upright in my files but invert when uploaded.

Simon did perfectly... The FGT was stripped to dry out the counterlungs. Really under rated kit, the FGT.

So here's a few more... Some might be cryptic as they are just heaped up.

Can you turn all the rebreathers upside down to take the photo?

Sure.... Ill just stand on my head.

Unearthed a prototype DC-55, early CCR-1000, Emerson Mark VI, Emerson Mark XI, Avon CDBA, Draeger Lund II, and the cryogenic scuba so far. I know there's another dozen there someplace.

Dave, I've read about cryogenic scrubbers. Did your unit actually work? Prototype? Tracy Robinette told me that the technology is actually doable.

Hey Mike, sorry I missed you at DEMA. Saw pics if you hugging Joel. Hmm....

The cryo system I have is an open circuit system modeled on the one that Jim Woodbury designed for Jordan Klein back in the 60's. Its a proven technology. Only issue is access to cryogenic gas to support.

Dave,

Good to see that the CCR-1000 (or at least its cover?) (maybe the original YBOD??) survived!

Seriously, I'm glad to hear that you only lost "stuff".

Breathe in. Breathe out. The rest is a bonus.

Hey Dan,

Yes, your baby is safe as well as an even older one I bought from Darryl. Six CCR-1000's or Mark-15's all ok.

Books and tools seem to be what suffered most. Ah well.

There is always a silver lining, at least you were not a stamp collector.
The idea of collecting seawater resistant objects suddenly makes a lot of sense.

That's exactly what I told the insurance adjuster when he noted that I didn't insure for contents. He looked around and smiled....

Sort of fun to need to revisit the collection in order to clean it up. Spent the morning going thru a WW-II era Dreager Tauchretter, which was the U-Boat escape rebreather. Gorgeous thing. This afternoon ill clean and dry a Desco O2 rig that was used at Pearl Harbor as part of the salvage work there. Still have about 20 rigs to go.

One day I will need to donate all of this stuff to a museum. Probably the museum of man in the sea down in key largo Florida.
