Hi, I am Karl or Karlos aka Frogtec on other forums.

Never knew about this one until I googled something and it linked here, seems a bit more 'balanced' than other rebreather forums....

In any case, I dive a Sentinel which is spec'ed up to expedition, with various KT bits on, currently Mod 2 and full cave so have had some fun with it so far. No real grief with it (touching wood now).

Wish I had gone CCR along time ago before spending all that money on OC tech stuff!!!

All the best

Karl

I live in West Kingsdown, Mark it works great (today)!

Ahh you've still got aways to go until your in proper kent. :) However Im abit lacking in rebreather buddies at the mo. So could you bare me in mind for any lake or quarry dives you might do or even Dover which I usually dive.

Thanks Rob

Trebor yes will do, at NDAC at the moment, going for the bottom this morning if you wanna join us? Although suspect more notice?

@Mark, did live in Maidstone for a while, so does that count?

Spk soon,

How did it go.?

I was out all weekend in da sea. Spring tide but the weather was very good both days and the Viz seems to be back as well :)

The bottom was dark, cold & devoid of life just thick silt! I never even saw any mermaids but that's the joy of 14/60.

Thought the sea would have been pants this weekend, I actually binned the club rib dive on Thursday (I wasn't going anyway) as it was shown as windy & after the tail of the storm I thought better of with the viz. where did you go?

quarries are good to practise accents which is always a good idea nice one.

South coast mate, Looking at the weather it did look shit but there was alot of North in the wind direction which means you can get sheller from the high cliffs. The farther west we went the better the viz was :) Cool.

Yeah, I believe in gradual progression, it was deepest CCR dive to date, now feel happy with that in the sea, next 85 then 100 next year, don't think I will plan deeper! Doubt ever do deeper than 75 in the UK, far to much ascent time to floating in mid water hoping the boat is following!

Did the bottom of NDAC last year got 68 metres it had'nt rained for ages so it was shallower than usual. Its the temperature thats the killer with deeper diving. I probably need a better drysuit but 4-5 degrees on the bottom made my head bleed :)

Got 73.9, I suspect could have got 75 if we routed about, but what's 110 cm between friends. Wasn't 'too' cold 7, did it in 3mm gloves just bareable, Hollis Biodry with halo3d and merino wool base layer plus 10mm waterproof hood, not too bad all told.
