    Sentinel CCR flooded

Propably entered the water with cover of charging plug open (Fischer connector) on the head of the classic Sentinel. Then yes of course your head is flooded and all electronics with it...

    Hello from Germany!!

welcome man. I used to have an SF2 prototype and did round 150 hours on it. Now I dive Ouroboros, but SF2 is for sure a good unit if you like simplicity. Some times I'm in Hemmoor. Cheers from Belgium.

    Whislist for future Sentinel

yes I had a meg to test for a few weeks, so i did several dives on it. I feeled not confortable on it. The hoses to short for me and also quite stiff, so i cannot move my head, the hud is useless as it flashes all the time and the displays unreadable. Also bulky and heavy unit. But it's bullet...

    Whislist for future Sentinel

he is refering to an Inspo... But I want a Sentinel with all his innovations, just lighter and able for 3L bottles. And the HUD is the best one I had, a discotheque is on the MEG.

    Whislist for future Sentinel

whishes for future Sentinel I quit Facebook, maybe we can get a little bit more life in here then. Here how I see the future Sentinel, in my opinion on of the best CCRs out there, just a few things had to be optimized in my opinion: Hoses are to big and heavy, also to long, why not use...

I need to sell my Sentinel, unit has less than 50 dive hours, a factory service in 2012 and works 100%, no issue, never ever had a problem with it. Good hard wired, no problems with Optocom and batterie changes 3100 € with the aluminium stand (highly recomendable, it alow the unit to stand) or...

CCR Accident Croatia June, 9 2014

My condoleances first! It nearly happen to me one day, for some obscure reasons the O2 bottle was closed and I realized it when checking controller the PPO2 was down to 0.12. That's the day I decided to get a unit with several alarms including vibration and HUD. Believe me I ALWAYS make the same...

    Hollis Explorer vs Poseidon MK6

yes that's also what I thought. Of course when running the unit at the edge, a constant look at PPO2 is mandatory. I don't think he will increase much even with triggering the ADV, except if you completely purge the loop.

    Hollis Explorer vs Poseidon MK6

there is no set point on ESCR, but I checked the PPO2 of course, he was 1.4, JJ I don't know, guess 1.2 at 34 meters...

    Hollis Explorer vs Poseidon MK6

well it's all so damn easy with the Explorer. I had SCR and CCR background, so it is really no big deal for me. For weight I used 11 KG in all, so make the rig dive ready in cold water with trilaminate drysuit and Otter 200G undersuit: +- 30 KG.

    Hollis Explorer vs Poseidon MK6

finally did my course on the Explorer. Believe me or not: I pushed the unit to the limits and decompression was same than CCR. Instructor was on JJ and had 2 minutes on 6 meters and I had 1 minute on 3m with Explorer, both disappeared on the quite slow ascend. Also I had as "backup" a Shearwater...

    Hollis Explorer vs Poseidon MK6

Not negative. Just want to make as less as possible bubbles. Anyway I will witness a try dive on Explorer in July, so i will see with my own eyes how many bubbles really will be. Saying that I enjoyed the unit very much on my try dives...

    Hollis Explorer vs Poseidon MK6

short news. The renting MK6 turned out as fiasco as on 2 dives I had C1 and C2 errors. On roughly 40 dives I had now 4 missed dives which is 10%. Also I realized that OTS counterlungs is really not my cup of tee, so stopped it and went OC.... Conclusion: if a sport rebreather I will go for the...

    Decompression on Explorer

@ Michael: +1 mate, and you never know if I would not come over and dive with you and buy something:cheers: Indeed I would dive it only in REC together with my girlfriend and she goes not that deep, so the Explorer would fit 100% these dives. The question was how the unit reacts in deco and...
