    CCR dive center Sydney

Yeah, I guess the ocean works the same way as here. It just don't listen to commands about staying calm. Kind of like my kids. And my initial problem was to go diving all days my last week, by I changed that plan to dive in the weekend for all weeks instead, then it fits the dive centers...

    CCR dive center Sydney

Haha, you and me already mailed earlier this week, so this dosh you already have counted once :) And I will stop by when I arrive, when searchng the net it obviously look like SXD is the only RB center with some quality in Sydney. I was actually just worried that there are not that many dives...

    CCR dive center Sydney

Hi, I'm going on a trip to Sydney over New Year. Does anyone have a good tip on a dive center that: 1. Have some basic CCR support (sell sorb and rent out 3l tanks) 2. Have trips to the wrecks around Sydney

Purging while inhaling during a CO2 hit.

Hmm... After some more thinking, my tired brain concluded that I'm right but that the effect would be very small. And also the analogy of the football is invalid, because the whole effect would be due to that more gas would be pulled down at shallower depth.

Purging while inhaling during a CO2 hit.

Although your debate is interesting to read, I'm not sure I want to throw fuel on the flames. But I actually have a question regarding what you are writing. Wouldn't another reason for it being more important to have front mounted lungs on an O2-rig be that it is used on shallow depth? I mean...

    BOV performance

Does a BOV always have worse performance (WOB) than a regular 2nd stage? If yes, why? If no, why do the BOV's I've seen perform worse?

    Hypercapnia

Hi Jay, Would you say there is something in the design of the rb that made the brekthrough worse/faster? In other words, any lessons to learn about the design? Or was it only about changing sorb?

    GF or VPM-B

I wouldn't go so far calling it a religion. No wars have been started over deco models ;) But you're right, both models predict DCS by estimating indirect factors for the bubble causing the DCS. Content models by the driver (amount of solved gas) for bubble growth, and bubble models by...

    Simple GF For Idiots

Well, actually it does. There is a factor "conservatism" to set. At least in the implenentation in the software I use. But the point is that the models are pretty uncertain, you might get bent using them. So it is wise to add some extra safety to your deco, in case you'd like to have a low risk...

    PPo2 1.4 or 1.6 for bailout

Makes sence when I think about it. Especially if you only need one bailout tank. Then you'd want to have something that gets you out of the water fast. If tou need several tank, then you can have lower pO2 on your first tank, and a better deco gas in your second.

    PPo2 1.4 or 1.6 for bailout

What ia the benefit of 1.6? I suppose you might reduce some deco. But if you are bailing out due to high pO2 in the loop, it'd be nice to get the pO2 down. Are there other benefits?

Bailout - Real bailout (not a drill)

@You guys who have long experience of bailouts: Do you think the units of today have less risk of electronic failure, loop flood etc., compared to 10 years ago?

Not coming to the Dark Side

Just curious, I have never investigated RB80 much, what is the operational edge for this unit? Which problems should be solved by switching unit?

    Commercial messages in the forum

A lot of discussions on forums in general, is on how to restrict commersial content. I can understand that, but I'd actually like to get info from local instructors, shops and trip organizers. I have no idea what the policy is in this forum on this topic, but I would prefer if it was allowed...

    Site suggestions

First two suggestions are very good! Though regarding CE, I don't think it should be divided that way. A non-CE marked unit could be third party tested, just not marketed in Europe (at least in theory). But there could be a sub for discussing 'CE certification', or other certifications for that...
