The Best SM Rebreather.....THE KISS WINS!!!

When you put the iPhone pics on your computer the jpg file is capitalized and the site does not like it. Rename the jpg as lowercase and it should work

Here's the finalized KISS SM breather, only hose lengths are subject to change at this point. I have a 02 add with a built in 25 orifice (Gorilla Dive Products), I added a block for wing inflation and off board pipe in vie M&J's. Works and balances out in the water perfectly.

How does it ride? How are you attaching it to your rig? I'm still playing with my attachment configuration, I only have my O2 attached to the unit.

It rides well, I'll upload a pic of the attachment points tomorrow at some point, that will be better then trying to explain it accurately now.

Cheers,

When you have to bailout, what is your plan for computer access(deco etc.)? Do you also have a stand alone computer that you can switch to OC?

Hi Don,

I typically dive with 3 computers, the controller/primary computer reading the cells, a Petrel 2 and a Divesoft (new model with longer battery and larger screen). All 3 computers are set the same way, I use standard gasses to 350', .7 P02 with auto switch at 70' on the way down only, bottom p02 on short dives is 1.0 to 1.2, on long dives the p02 can go as low as .8.

Cheers mate and thanks again for your AMAZING work on my 2 REVO's.

Jon

I saw the sidekick for the first time yesterday.

I must say that I was very unimpressed with the build quality of the unit! The welding on the stainless outer tube looked like it was made by someone that does not know how to weld. Also, the welds hat not been treated afterwards so it was as red as some of the WW2 wrecks I have dived. Rust is also starting to show in the many holes on the outer tube.

Another thing that did not impress me was the splitter boards after the cells. I suck at soldering but the job that was done here was very bad.

Other points:

Seal inside CL is very poorly made
Check valve at ADV does not work
Weak bolt-snap attachment on head

To me the unit looks like an unfinished prototype....

Just MHO
