Mornin'!
Greetings from sunny North Yorkshire!
Well, it's sunny this morning. It won't last, it's rained so much this year it was a unit or an Ark, and it was a tough choice. Anyway, been diving a few years, fancied CCR and got one of those poncy Poseidon thingies. It was against the advice of pretty much everyone I know, it has to be said, but I liked the unit when I tried it and 30hrs on still do. I even did the PADI course, he whispered. So far, so good sums up my limited CCR experience. We'll see how things progress. Last edited by Mike Ward; August 3rd, 2012 at 10:46 AM. |

one of my Mates has one and it's a nice little unit
tbh it would frustrate the feck out of me; but he likes it and has smashed in loads of hours to get his trimix pod

Happy to do that some time in the not too distant future.
Interestingly, I've just come back from a north Red Sea wreck trip, which I escort for a well known scuba travel organisation I won't name! Normally I'd expect a unit or two or three on my trips, but not this time. In fact, I only saw three other rebreathers all week, an Inspo on a French boat moored alongside at Gubal and a pair of Poseidon units on Thistlegorm. And I know what you mean about it being frustrating, but the air dil only, 40m max and no deco limits aren't as hard and fast as you might think...though it certainly isn't a tech rebreather as it stands now. |
