Shearwater straps

i do not like the standard shearwater bands.
they always keep me busy , getting them strapped on.

The bungie solution i know... someone els a bright idea on how to ?

I just cut the straps off and replaced direct with 2 loops of bungy through where the strapping ran. Works a treat...

Yes, I sold quite a few of them along with those for the Meg Apecs controllers. I recently also did some costume dual shearwater mounts for divers using one as a controller and one for backup.

N@90 bought a bunch from me for the single shearwaters for re-sale, so just order from him directly if you want. The design has changed a little over the years, but only for the better

is the bungie mount bracket different than the strap mount bracket?
if not you can put bungies on the original bracket...

I've seen people put bungee through the strap slot, but it's not ideal. I drilled some holes in the corners of the original mount, but then got hold of one of Christian's bungee mounts and now use that.

Another vote for Christian's mount, which has proven itself excellent from the start. Can't speak too highly of friends at N@90 either, glad they are selling the same bit-o-kit from the same maker. Seems a perfect pairing.
