Chatting in my LDS yesterday & told that Hollis has bought VR Tech. so now own Sentinel rebreather etc. Mr Gurr been kept on as some sort of consultant (insert Alien 2 quote here
)Know they had a joint venture for a sports RB, but got the impression it had gone much further. Anyone know if it's true? Last edited by jptaylor9; July 26th, 2012 at 05:59 PM. |

I was on a boat last week with someone that works for VR Tech, and i asked about the new Hollis / orange un-named Rebreather
They confirmed that VR Tech and Hollis are working together on the Rec Rebreather, and Hollis are building the units. I would be extremely surprised to now hear that VR have sold out, and i mean extreeeeemely suprised Paul |

oh no does anyone now want to by my VRX hahahaha I swap you my VR3 for it!Oh wait... ![]() ![]() Down our way, LDS with zero knowledge of rebreathers, zero knowledge of mixed gas, zero knowledge of decompression diving are running about like a modern day revisionist Paul Revere proclaiming how they are at the forefront of diving innovation and can now sell, train and maintain rebreathers. So Hollis took on the Prism, which was a nice idea poorly executed. Now Hollis are joining forces with VR (that's what the press release says) to presumably use their product to make more rebreather models. 'VR expressing themselves', etc. etc. So we're going to get an interbreeding of Prism, Ororoborous, and Sentinel... with a VXx controller. Q. What do you get when you combine a chimp, a PhD in theoretical applied diagnostics of 3D design plans and a Valley Girl? .... cheers Andy p.s. Sorry if you lose sleep over the image I have presented!
