Halcyon Cinch / Agir Harpa

I am considering swapping my standard backplate and harness for a Halcyon ali backplate for use when travelling. However, I am loath to lose the adjustable harness. Hence I am considering either the Halcyon Cinch or Agir Harpa harnesses. Does anyone have any experience of either on a JJ or could offer any advice with particular regard to not interfering with the counter-lungs?

From experience having the cinch kit and seeing someone else's Agir, I'd go for the Agir as is far easier to adjust.

The agir is just a funny Dring that can be used on ANY backplate.

There is no interference with the counterlungs.

You can continue to use the same backplate and wing.

You can send them an email and ask if they can deliver to the US (info(at)agir-brokk.com).

FYI I ordered a two-sided Harpa kit last year shipped to California, cost $50 plus $26 for shipping----not too bad for the whole harness kit, webbing, hardware, etc. You can also get the one sided kit for $12 less.

Here's the information from Tord last year:

Goodmorning Robert
I am sorry to say but we don't have any real dealer in
us.

Happy to send to you directly from us.

Qoutes below.

Are you using a light with battery canister on the

right hip?

If yes, maybe a Left side kit will do.

The insured post is (Official Post and USPS) 170SEK approx 26USD

We send items to USA, if not weekly, a few times a
mounth, appox 6 days to US eastcoast and 7 days to you is needed.

Harpa-kit one side 250SEK approx
38,50$

Harpa-Both sides 350SEK
approx 50$

We don´t have Paypal, VISA or MC is fine. Not AmEx,
sorry.

Med Vänliga Hälsningar / Best Regards

I had the cinch for a while on my twinset, didn't really like it. I've got the Harpa on my JJ and like it.

Speak to Deep Ideas to see if they will ship to the US.

Hi

I have used both the Agir and Halcyon system and have the following comments:

The Agir system is very simple and will fit most standard backplates.
The halcyon system will force you to buy a H backplate.

The Agir system messes up the left hip d-ring positioning
The agir system messes up the mounting of a dive light cannister at your right hip.

The Halcyon system has solved the Agir issues with some extra components that hold the d-ring and cannister on a "outer" system where the webbing can slide through. You can see the two parts in the picture on the top right here: Cinch Quick-adjust Harness | Halcyon

You need the buttom left and right parts to have a perfect system IMHO (Combined with the Agir Harpa sliders).
