i never seen one working, can't you run it on a old first stage on a dive cylinder?
It only have to do the last part , not the whole filling. |

now that's a very good idea if you were desperate to squeeze in that little bit more; but I generally stop at 230 to cool to 220 to look after the tins. More often it's just 220 for 210ish to save the noise.
I find they work wonderfully from a bank but I only have a 10bar workshop compressor that is being ravaged by driving the booster. I can't find a good affordable oil free in the UK Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

i never seen one working, can't you run it on a old first stage on a dive cylinder? Of course. In fact I sometimes do - especially at the start of the season when I want 250 final - I pump all to 250 hot with the air-tools and then the next day top back to 250 with a 7L of drive for the last 20 bar.It only have to do the last part , not the whole filling. Sometimes I do do the whole filling - especially after service. Matt. |

My air tools was £35 from Aldi (Wolf made) and has been running fine since 2007.I find they work wonderfully from a bank but I only have a 10bar workshop compressor that is being ravaged by driving the booster. no I have one of these bags of shite Sealey SAC05020 50L 2Hp/1.5Kw Belt Driven Air Compressor Oil Free - Sealey available at Toolbox We're cross-purposes, Charlie: My pump is oil lubricating (has an oiler) so no need for the oil free (and anyway oil free pumps are not clean, they still leak oil, just less of it).according to the numbers it should be fine; but it's crap so if anyone knows of a good reliable oil free that does deliver 10bar and CAN drive this DTB5C - Diving Gas booster - air driven - to 250 bar pressure or am I making a rod for my own back by trying for oil free when the drive gas is isolated from the boosted? I wouldn't use one at all on any of the other pumps, though (unless the manufacturer says it is totally separated). If I were buying again I'd look for 10 bar, or I might botch the OPV on this one one day ;-) Matt. |
