Newbie questions!

I´ve some problems as a newbie with my JJ :

First .Is there a special method to dry the Counterlungs? I hang mine for 2-3 days head first in my cellar but it is still wet inside ....

Second ,what have you done with the loose straps from the harness?

Third, when ascending and the gas is expanding gas is leaking through the breathing hose connection at the DSV , the metal ring is not really tight i want to exchange it with cable tie´s

that's it for the moment!

Mine are in the bathroom and just hang them ...i do not wait until they are complete dry .....they just hang there until the next dive.

Second ,what have you done with the loose straps from the harness?

i made them shorter , i moved the extra bit so far it ended up in the waist belt part en cut of a small part. If i put the harness on the D ring is hanging on the same height as my waist belt.

Third, when ascending and the gas is expanding gas is leaking through the breathing hose connection at the DSV , the metal ring is not really tight i want to exchange it with cable tie´s

I did that, and when gas is expending so much it comes out of the connections it probably is not comfortable holding it in your mouth?
is your long volume down to minimum volume?

If he was asking his instructor he would have texted or called him.

If you have no answer or help why not stay quiet ?

Luke - I don't bother drying, I rinse out the exhale lung leaving it connected to the unit, and drain out of the dump valve. Repeat a few times then leave it until the next dive. Every month or so I fill it with warm virkon and leave for 30 mins then rinse.

I believe official advice is to remove from unit for rinsing and hang them upside down until dry. They don't really dry.
