FS: Baur Capitano Compressor

Less than 9 hours since overhaul, new motor new piston rings, needs around 18 amp UK, I have it on a 32amp socket. Excellent condition, set to 220 Bar and 123 Litres a minute, I can supply reference for the proffesional compressor engineer whom overhauled this and has been brilliant.

Comes with spare filter and oil (doesnt use oil but it should be changed soon)

Palletised UK mainland shipping is around £70.

Just to put in a plug for this model compressor, it's what I have aboard EXPLORER for filling air diluent, booster supply bottles, and the odd twinset. These are the cream of the crop of small compressors: German engineering at it's best. If it were in the USA I'd buy it just to have it handy.

don't even think about it Dave. they may be the best compressors in the world but it's a slippery slope to excess compressordom.

I have a K15. When you look at the design of bauer compressors and the amount of use they get in a non industrial application they must have a 1000 year design life. it'll dissolve and the sun will go cold before you wear it out.

I also have a coltri mch6 which has the life expectancy of an Alfa Romeo, though to be fair it's only been rebuilt twice and gets far more use because I can actually lift it without a crane.

oh and a Bristol 4S7 on my boat which has been well and truly hammered for over 30 years, it looks a little shabby, but being british it's got that bulldog spirit and refuses to die.

since I bought a rebreather they're all a bit superfluous except the baby coltri, but I'm sure they'll all come in handy one day?

oh and a K14 in bits and another coltri in bits. I'm warning you, don't even think it'll be nice to have a spare. it's a recipe for a full workshop.

anyway back to the ad. i couldn't agree more. if you want a compressor buy one of these, you can't lift anything bigger made by bauer.

Oh how true.. between Jitka and myself we have three, plus a Sierra oxygen compressor (electric gas transfer pump), two Haskells, and a Jetsam mini-booster (which makes a delightful paperweight on the desk). It never ends...
