Or tape the battery in place

The problem is that the holder is just crap, is on the Shearwater was on the N@90 head and still is on the JJ.

Needs to be changed. ..... regards Baz
I have had the same issues on narked at 90 head a few years ago, electrical tape around the middle as the holders are crap and do crack. And one wrap end to end to positive and negative terminals in contact and no issues over the last two years.

All good advice. Second possibility is a bad board in the SW. Jitkas #2 had about 1/10th battery life of her #1. Mv meter showed ten times the battery draw. Back for a new board and it's roses. Put a Mv meter on it and see what the load is. It's either the aforementioned contact issue or a bad computer. Fix is free from Curt.

Thanks Dave. I don't have another sw to compare to, so what should the normal draw be and what were you getting on the bad one?

Hello,

Current on Med brightness setting should be about 16mA when on. When the Predator is turned off, the current should be 0.02mA.

Thanks to all, so it might be a problem of battery passivation so I could reuse the batteries that I have given the problem?
Or a problem of mechanical contact between the battery and the terminals of the holder?
And then in this second case, the computer would read badly the value of the voltage of the battery? So it's enough to put a shim (eg aluminum foil) to solve the problem?
But I do not understand how not having an efficient contact with the terminals on the battery can distort the reading of the voltage. Only to return to normal on the surface ( now the battery is between 3.45 - 3.55 v)

thanks

The Day my Controller shut down in little river, it completely shutdown, turned off, then after a few minutes, recovered, turned back on, even remembering my deco(minus the few minutes it was off) once it came back on,MVs were 3.52 or somewhere there... sounds like your problem...
I like the Tin foil or solder idea..

do not know if it would be good for the SW.
But there is also a SAFT LS17500 batt.

( specs from shaft are not to good , if find 2 on the net than they are different ) The size is also different.
