CCR Explorers - the next step in CCR Diving!

Welcome back Unregistered

Closed Circuit Rebreather diving is a fast growing approach to diving. Be it technical or recreational, wreck, cave or reef, CCR diving can be relevant to the diving that you do. Jump in on our rebreather forums, find out more about who we are, what we do, and how we do it.

CCR Explorers is a Closed Circuit Rebreather diving forum run by divers for both CCR divers and those who are interested in learning more about our approach to diving. There is a lot of information around on the internet about Closed Circuit Rebreathers, we hope to bring it together here, at CCRX, into one resource which each of us can use.

So look around, tell us who you are, what you would like to see from CCRX, ask some questions, post reports of diving that you have done, or would like to do.

Safe Diving all from the CCRX Team.

Hi all, I'm new to the site, so this is my Hello to everyone, I'd like to take the opertunity to ask does anybody on here do much diving off the north east coast of England? Thinking hull to Eyemouth area, a plethora of wrecks there but diving seems limited to more coastal than I'd like to do.

Thanks for reading, Dive safe, Alex.

Hi everyone.

Been lurking for a while , finally decided to register. My name is Brendon, I am a former NAUI OWSI based in the united Arab Emirates. I recently switched over to RAID in order to pursue recreational rebreather diving. I did my RB certification on the Poseidon MK6 with Mark McCrum, so far my experiences with RAID have been really favourable and especially with Mark, coming out to the UAE to do my course with me as there is no RAID centre here, yet.

Hi folks - great to be part of this forum. I've been diving since '74 with lots of Tech diving over the years. This is my first year as a rebreather diver. I dive the O2ptima and truly enjoy the diving and the unit. I'm looking forward to asking dumb questions and a multitude of well deserved sarcastic answers. Thanks

» A Brit saying Hello!

Jan 04, 2016 - 1:18 PM - by Phate
Hi there,

have been lurking for a little while, thought it was about time I registered to say Hello...

A bit about me, I'm Jake, in my late 20's, currently backpacking around the world with my girlfriend. Been seriously diving for a few years now, I'm a huge tech geek and want to be CCR diving one day. I'll mostly carry on reading to learn in the background, but may ask the odd question here and there.

SO anyway, hello!

Hi,

Another diver from Norway joining the forum. I'm GUE t2 and c2, with my primary interest beeing caves and mines. With the increasing gas bills and hopeless logistics of mixed gas diving in rural areas a real pain, I've recently taken a keen interest in ccr.

I'm in the process of buying a JJ (the only alternative in GUE) and plan to take the course pretty soon.

Hoping to pick up some useful knowledge here before (and after) that.
