CCR Explorers - the next step in CCR Diving!

Welcome back Unregistered

Closed Circuit Rebreather diving is a fast growing approach to diving. Be it technical or recreational, wreck, cave or reef, CCR diving can be relevant to the diving that you do. Jump in on our rebreather forums, find out more about who we are, what we do, and how we do it.

CCR Explorers is a Closed Circuit Rebreather diving forum run by divers for both CCR divers and those who are interested in learning more about our approach to diving. There is a lot of information around on the internet about Closed Circuit Rebreathers, we hope to bring it together here, at CCRX, into one resource which each of us can use.

So look around, tell us who you are, what you would like to see from CCRX, ask some questions, post reports of diving that you have done, or would like to do.

Safe Diving all from the CCRX Team.

Hi everyone,

My name is Eunjae Im from Korea and I'm a underwater photo/videographer.
I was considering advantage of CCR for my work for a long time and finally pulled the trigger.

Just complete my IANTD MOD1 + ART and trimix blender course with Marc Crane at Tekdeep Asia in Bali, Indonesia.
I had a blast during the course and Marc is great instructor with deep knowledge. And the accommodation (Villa Alba) was really nice for stay.

» Divetech Grand Cayman is looking for a Tek and Rec Instructor

Jan 08, 2015 - 8:08 AM - by Stevie Tippetts
Divetech has an opening for an instructor who can also teach Tek and Rec diving. Ideally the instructor will be able to teach Open Circuit up to a minimum of Normoxic Trimix (200/60m) and preferably have an instructor level on any of the mainstream rebreathers on the market today. Interested parties trained as PADI and IANTD or TDI would be our preferred choices for the Tek syllabus. Sidemount instructor would be a bonus.

Please note that while we are interested in the Tek... [Read More]

» Help, I'm lost, again!

Dec 11, 2014 - 5:14 PM - by Navigator
Hi all, I'd just like to say a big hello, and say how happy I am to be a part of ccrexplorers!
I currently dive a Sentinel, but I've just bought a JJ, and I'm doing the cross over next week.
My main interest lies in wreck diving, but really I'm just happy getting wet.
I must say the information and the banter on this forum is right down my street.
Looking forward to joining in!

Merry Christmas to you all.

Regards

John

Just wanted to say a quick hello - Just finished my air diluent class in Bonaire. Looking forward to buying a unit in the April timeframe and diving it as much as possible. Will be lugging it between Mexico, Florida, Seattle, and hopefully Hawaii from my base here in Bloomington, IN.

And here is hoping there is enough in the bonus pool this year so I can get a shiny new NERD to go with it.
