CCR Explorers - the next step in CCR Diving!

Welcome back Unregistered

Closed Circuit Rebreather diving is a fast growing approach to diving. Be it technical or recreational, wreck, cave or reef, CCR diving can be relevant to the diving that you do. Jump in on our rebreather forums, find out more about who we are, what we do, and how we do it.

CCR Explorers is a Closed Circuit Rebreather diving forum run by divers for both CCR divers and those who are interested in learning more about our approach to diving. There is a lot of information around on the internet about Closed Circuit Rebreathers, we hope to bring it together here, at CCRX, into one resource which each of us can use.

So look around, tell us who you are, what you would like to see from CCRX, ask some questions, post reports of diving that you have done, or would like to do.

Safe Diving all from the CCRX Team.

» Intro new to site

Aug 07, 2014 - 1:55 AM - by toby43
Hi, I'm new to the site, looking like many others if CCR is right for me and then wasting a whole load of time looking at stuff on different units! Live in Europe, UK and Germany, but do a good deal of Red Sea diving. Currently OC Tmx. Thanks Toby

Hi All. I'm not currently diving on a rebreather but looking at what is available and what would suit my plans in the future. I'm an avid marine photographer and really like the silent diving with longer bottom times. However, I'm also keen to go deep, 100m+ deep. So looking for a CCR that can fulfil both roles (obviously nothing will be perfect but keen to understand the compromises).

Hi lads and ladies

I am dutch but lived in Spain almost all my life...

I am new to the forum and quite new to rebreathers.

I am mod2 pscr diver. My dives are around 50 and 60m depth but i like long runtimes... i prefer dives longer than 2 hours and that's why I got into the machines i owe which are a super modified satori and an nt1. Both pscr backmounted and manifolded rebreathers. OC dives are getting too expensive when doing trimix and long runtimes

Take care!

Jul 08, 2014 - 5:55 PM - by CCR Josh
We finally have decent (not the best... but decent) pictures of our CCRX shirts. Just ask anyone who already has one, they are some of the most comfortable shirts I have ever had!

Want to support CCR Explorers and get a very comfortable shirt to show your pride at the same time?

Choose the "CCRX Supporter & Shirt Wearer " option here.

Hello everybody,

i finally made it to the Dark Side and did the Mod1 course for the JJ-CCR about a month ago (before, i was an OC Trimix and cave diver).
Most of my diving happens around here in our local lakes.

cheers,
Steven
