CCR Explorers - the next step in CCR Diving!

Welcome back Unregistered

Closed Circuit Rebreather diving is a fast growing approach to diving. Be it technical or recreational, wreck, cave or reef, CCR diving can be relevant to the diving that you do. Jump in on our rebreather forums, find out more about who we are, what we do, and how we do it.

CCR Explorers is a Closed Circuit Rebreather diving forum run by divers for both CCR divers and those who are interested in learning more about our approach to diving. There is a lot of information around on the internet about Closed Circuit Rebreathers, we hope to bring it together here, at CCRX, into one resource which each of us can use.

So look around, tell us who you are, what you would like to see from CCRX, ask some questions, post reports of diving that you have done, or would like to do.

Safe Diving all from the CCRX Team.

After a few years and a couple dives guiding rebreather divers around, We finally decided to give it a try. The wife (Cindy) and I will be doing a JJ class with Mat Partridge here in Truk in May

We have had the chance to try out a few units and decided to start with a JJ. Cindy, however is still leaning towards a micro rEvo. After getting some time on our own JJ, she will decide and pick... [Read More]

Hello all,
I have been advised to check out this forum by a good mate Kieran Hatton who took me over to the dark side in 2011. I dive Inspiration Classic and am just Mod 1 now, but I must have lost my senses as have just signed up with Kieran to do Mod 2. I have dived OC for years but am enjoying this whole new Yellow box stuff, but am finding it very difficult to find CCR buddies in my area! Most people in Norwich think CCR is some weird cult..... ... [Read More]

There's some cool ccr friendly trips running over the summer. We're not a big commercial operation, and support... [Read More]

» CCRX is under attack!

Feb 20, 2014 - 1:50 PM - by webmaster
We sincerely apologize for the site being slow or unavailable over the last 12 hours or so. It appears as though our name severs are under a DoS attack (denial of service). We must have some IT-savvy CCRX detractors who are up to some mischievous activity

We have temporarily switched to backup servers for the time being until the attack is fully mitigated.

Thank you for your... [Read More]

» Hello - New to CCRs....Melbourne based.

Feb 13, 2014 - 8:41 PM - by garethingham
Hi All,

Just completed training on Meg and Pathfinder in Thailand with Ben Reymenants at Blue Label Diving. Wanted to understand if I could live with a CCR day to day in my diving.

My background is GUE T2/C2 and have been able to complete all dives I have wanted to do on OC up to this point. My reason for considering CCR is that there are some remote places with cool stuff to see but really expensive helium costs. I have a choice to make.....spend 10k per trip on gas,... [Read More]
